Character Modeling of Rango 

During this project, I worked with organic forms across ZBrush and Maya to create a character model with clean topology, realistic textures, and multiple subdivision levels for both low and high poly applications. I plan to try animating this character in 2021 when I take the 3D Animation course at NYU.

Low Poly Maya Modeling of Leica M3 Camera 

As someone who holds photography close to my heart, I chose to recreate something in 3D that I spend a lot of time with: my grandfather's 1952 Leica M3 camera. I focused on keeping clean topology and creating authentic textures and imperfections to achieve photorealism.

Experimenting with ReactJS and REST APIs to create an informative dashboard

2020 is, undoubtedly, a rather unusual year. As a result, it seems that our usual weather-based forecasts are somewhat outdated - there's a whole new set of data that influences our decision to stay at home or go outside. To familiarize myself with ReactJS and REST, I used the Ambee Fire API, New York Times COVID Dataset, and Google Maps to generate a uniquely "2020" themed forecast.

Biomimicry

The design and production of systems and structures that are modeled on biological entities and processes.

CyberBird's aerodynamic profile models that of the lightning-fast Peregrine Falcon. Using counter rotating gears, its wings can tuck for drag-reduction, and expand for lift.

CyberBird is a biologically-inspired solution to address time-critical medical deliveries.

With the folding wings of a Peregrine Falcon, the V-shaped flying formation of Canadian Geese, and the dive bombing trajectory of a Bald Eagle, this prototype drone is designed to deliver medical supplies to emergencies.

Solar-paneled wings provide CyberBird the energy necessary to function without the need for a snack break.

Mimicking the trajectory of a bald eagle, CyberBird dives to retrieve packages using a mechanical claw, all without ever touching the ground.

The prototype was designed using a variety of industry-standard software and practices. It was formed under the heat of a laser cutter and in the cold of a water jet cutter.

E.MOTION (2019)

D E M O   V I D E O

e.motion is an impressionistic software mirror that paints your face according to your facial expression.

Using JavaScript with the p5.js and face-api.js libraries, the program processes a live camera output and adjusts the "painting style" based on your emotional turbulence.
